Superintendent Saturn sent character testimony about Deputy Superintendent Nisso Guetta to the Magistrate's Court in Rishon Lezion, who will be sentenced today

"He has spent most of his life and energy for the security of the citizens of Israel":

Today (Wednesday) the Magistrate's Court in Rishon Lezion will sentence Deputy Chief of Staff Nisso Guetta, who was convicted of assaulting a demonstrator in Balfour.

Prior to the sentencing, Police Commissioner Superintendent Yaakov Shabtai sent a positive character testimony about Guetta spread over two pages.

"Of the thousands of officers I have known, he is one of the most prominent officers, both in his skills and in his warm and respectful treatment of people," the commissioner wrote, adding:

The honorable court must put before its eyes its service and its security contribution to the State of Israel. "

The commissioner, who has also commanded Nisso in the past, stressed that he does not address the incident and the allegations against Nisso but only his service, function and character, so that the court puts his words before his eyes before sentencing him.

This is not the first time the commissioner has testified about the character of his subordinates. Yesterday the court was informed that the commissioner may come to testify about the character of Nisso Guetta in person, but finally the commissioner wrote his testimony in writing in light of schedule constraints.
