Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed that the continued arming of Ukraine by the United States and Britain confirms their desire to push Russia to confront Europe.
"He is sure that Ukraine will not have the opportunity to negotiate with Russia as long as it is kept away from any constructive step," Lavrov said in an interview with the Russian RT and RIA Novosti channels published today.
On the possibility of a nuclear clash between Russia and Europe, Lavrov said that a nuclear war has no victor, so a nuclear war cannot break out.
Regarding the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, Lavrov said: At the beginning of the Russian special military operation, the Ukrainian leadership asked to start negotiations with us, and we did not refuse, but rather took a sincere approach towards this process. The first rounds revealed that the Ukrainian side actually did not want to discuss anything seriously.
