Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned of a significant rise in oil prices due to plans to limit the purchase of Russian oil.
Russia Today website quoted Putin as saying in statements to reporters today that "the proposals to limit the purchase of oil from Russia will lead to a situation similar to gas, and prices will rise significantly."
Putin added: "We hear all kinds of crazy ideas about limiting the quantities of Russian oil and limiting its price, and this is the same thing that happens with gas, and the result will be the same as the rise in oil prices."
America and the European Union imposed unfair economic sanctions on Russia against the backdrop of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, and these measures led to a rise in oil, gas and food prices in the world.
