Premieres: Bad Bunny is measured fists with Brad Pitt 2:27
(CNN) --
This week, many of us have had to deal with record temperatures hitting Europe and parts of the United States.
Although the worrying heat makes you want to lower the blinds, turn on the fan and stay as still as possible, there are jobs to do and wages to earn, and that is also the reality of Brad Pitt.
On Tuesday, the star was in Berlin for the preview of his new action movie, "Bullet Train," as the city recorded high temperatures of around 32.2°.
Pitt kept it cool in a head-to-toe linen look with a brown skirt, matching jacket and a half-open salmon-colored button-down shirt.

Fans and critics alike took to the internet to weigh in on Pitt's knee-length skirt, but the jury was out on whether the outfit was "absolutely cool" or should have come "with a caveat." as some Twitter users said.
The skirt even earned Pitt a hashtag that trended on Twitter.

But those who are shocked by Pitt's skirt suit are perhaps too young to remember that it is not the first time he has done it.
In 1999, to promote "Fight Club," a film that at its core investigates the dangers of traditional masculinity and the obsession with achieving alpha status, Pitt appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine with not one, but five. tiny dresses.
Shot by renowned photographer Mark Seliger, Pitt's photo shoot became a cultural landmark that strongly advocated for gender-neutral dress codes.
And for those in doubt, her international sex symbol status remained intact, even when she rocked a skin-tight pink sequin dress.
Male solution: the use of skirts?

Yet men in skirts are still in the news more than half a century later, whether it's Harry Styles on the cover of Vogue or Billy Porter's tuxedo at the 2019 Oscars. They become less impressive.
Many gender-defying fashion statements seem to be reserved for prestigious cultural events, but seem to be creeping into more low-key events and everyday life.
And why not?
Sometimes, as was perhaps the case with Pitt, a man in a dress may not be a subversive fashion statement at all, but simply a practical decision.
If you can't stand the heat, wear that linen skirt.
