Ukraine: Video is said to show the crash of a Russian fighter jet

A Russian fighter jet is said to have been shot down in southern Ukraine. In Kramatorsk, civilians died again from Moscow's weapons - especially old people are holding out there in their devastated apartments.

These images are said to show a crashing Russian fighter jet over Ukraine.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the fighter plane was hit by a missile.

Video footage of the crash from different angles has been posted on social media, suggesting the footage is real.

The fighter jet is said to have crashed around 8 p.m. local time on Tuesday, east of the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson.

Meanwhile, numerous cities in eastern Ukraine are still under fire from the Russian army.

For example Kramatorsk, north of Donetsk.

Here rockets hit a block of flats, one person is said to have died.

The woman laments a seriously injured son-in-law.

He was standing next to the car, he probably wanted to pick up my daughter who was selling things at the market.

Maybe he just got back from shopping, there were groceries in his car.

Or he was just about to come home.”

Five other civilians were injured in the attack.

»The Russian Air Force attacked the center of Kramatorsk.

So far we have identified seven multi-story buildings damaged.

Windows broke, some apartments caught fire.«

The elderly in particular do not even want to leave their homes when they are devastated.

While grain fields in eastern Ukraine are repeatedly ablaze after rocket attacks, the Russian army is making slow progress in its offensive in the Donbass, according to British intelligence information.

There are minimal gains in terrain as Ukrainian forces resisted.
