As part of the investigation, evidence was also collected regarding Alam's involvement in a military Tanzim cell that carried out a number of attacks against IDF forces in Nablus between the years 2007-2005.
Meanwhile, it emerged that he took part in a squad that was responsible for carrying out a bomb attack against an IDF force operating in a casbah in Nablus on July 17, 2006, during which the late Sgt. Osher Damari was killed and several other soldiers were injured. Alam, along with others, participated in dozens of incidents of firing on IDF forces, and in planting explosive devices that could be fired remotely against the security forces, combined with firing on the forces after the explosives were fired, in a manner that injured soldiers.
The investigation was accompanied from the beginning and closely by the military prosecution.
After examining the material of the investigation, the military prosecution will today file a serious indictment against Alam, alleging a large number of serious security offenses, including the murder of the late soldier Osher Damari.
The General Security Service, together with the security bodies, will continue to act to thwart terrorist activity against the citizens of Israel, and to strive to decipher terrorist attacks and prosecute the perpetrators over the years.
