A Ukrainian woman confronted Russian mercenaries who wanted to recruit her husband under duress.

However, his wife resisted and fearlessly expressed her opinions about the Russian war of aggression.

According to the woman in the video, the scene took place on June 28 in the center of Makiivka - the neighboring city of Donetsk.
You can see how two pro-Russian militias confiscate the man's passport.
"Please give the passport back," the woman first asks, and is promptly asked not to film and to put away her cell phone.
However, the woman replies dryly: “I will not put away my cell phone.
There is no martial law.
It was not proclaimed.” So she points out to the mercenaries that there is therefore no general mobilization and they cannot recruit his man.
Apparently the militias are now mentioning their superiors, because the woman suddenly gets louder and says: "Your boss doesn't give a fuck to me!" Then she describes the situation again for documentation purposes: "They took my husband's papers and are giving them to me not back.
Although there is no martial law, they say there is mobilization.”

The verbal battle between the pro-Russian mercenaries and the woman continues.
"He will come with us to the recruitment office," says one of the militia.
The Ukrainian woman repeats several times: “He's not going anywhere.
Give him his documents back.” She points out again that there is currently only “voluntary” mobilization.
However, her husband did not want to fight.
"Voluntarily or compulsorily - there is a general mobilization," claims one of the mercenaries, adding: "He is obliged to serve in the military."
Then it gets loud again between the two sides.
"No, he is not obliged," emphasizes the woman almost screaming.
The mercenary shows her the man's passport with the corresponding note, who now intervenes himself.
"It's a Ukrainian passport, I'm a citizen of Ukraine!" he tells militias.
His wife again calls on Putin's mercenaries to return the passport.

Apparently, her family has already experienced the horror of Russian forced conscription in the Donbass.
"You took all the men, all the young men, we buried half of them," said the woman: "My brother-in-law, my brother, everyone!"
Now there is "only one left".
She must be referring to her husband.
They also have a disabled child.
She asks, "Are you taking care of this?" The Russian mercenaries, however, seem unmoved.
Before the video ends, it then becomes violent when the woman and her husband try to snatch the passport from the hands of the pro-Russian militias.
There is resistance to Putin's war not only in eastern Ukraine, but also in Russia itself.
