In the heat of the day: baby locked in car – there is no trace of the father

The heat wave has Bavaria firmly under control.
Now the police had to rescue an infant from a car parked in the blazing sun.
Vöhringen – By now it should be common knowledge how quickly and strongly cars heat up in the blazing sun, especially at high temperatures.
And yet it happens again and again that babies, small children and animals are left behind in vehicles.
Often to "just go quickly" to a store or to get something.
But just a few minutes are enough to make it unbearably hot inside the car.
In Vöhringen, district of Neu-Ulm, that's exactly what happened, a baby left in the car - and there was no trace of the father.
Bavaria: Baby forgotten in the car – in the blazing sun
According to a police press release, a father left his three-month-old baby in the car in Vöhringen on Monday afternoon, July 19.
At that time, the city in western Bavaria was still almost 30 degrees.
In addition, the car was standing in the blazing sun, causing the interior of the car to heat up even faster and life-threateningly.
Passers-by noticed the crying baby and immediately called the emergency services.
In no time the police arrived.
The officers then smashed a side window of the car and freed the baby from the dangerous situation.

40 degrees and more inside the car: There was no trace of the father
According to the police, one must assume that the inside of the car was 40 degrees and more.
The police could not say where the father was.
The incident was reported to the youth welfare office, it said.
The police repeatedly warn against leaving children or animals in the car in the heat.
The interior of the car is currently heating up extremely quickly and is becoming a life-threatening trap.
