An overtaking maneuver on the B471 near Hohenbrunn caused a rear-end collision in the opposite lane.
A quad driver was lucky in misfortune.
According to the police, the accident happened on Wednesday around 7.45 p.m. on the B471 between the motorway entrance and the entrance to Hohenbrunn
.
A 39-year-old from Ottobrunn was driving her VW towards the Autobahn and wanted to overtake despite oncoming traffic.
An oncoming 63-year-old driver from Oberschleißheim braked and was able to avoid it.
The 37-year-old from Vaterstetten driving behind him with his quad could no longer react and crashed into the rear of the car.
In addition, the overtaking VW driver touched Vaterstettner with the side mirror.
Several thousand euros in damage
The quad driver was lucky in the misfortune that he only injured his arm slightly and didn't happen again, because a speed of 100 km/h is allowed on the route.
The vehicles suffered damage of several thousand euros.
Everyone else involved was unharmed.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the person responsible for the accident.
