Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that the unipolar world order that was in place has become an obstacle to the development of civilization, noting that world history is moving to a new stage where only truly sovereign states can show high growth dynamics.
"No matter how much the West and the so-called supranational elites strive to preserve the current order of things, we are facing a new era ahead and a new stage in world history, and only truly sovereign states can guarantee the dynamics of growth," Putin said in a speech at the forum (Strong Ideas for the New Era) yesterday. And to become an example for others in the standards and quality of life and the protection of traditional values and human ideals and development models in which the human being does not turn into a means but rather becomes the highest goal.”
"There is no irreversibility in these massive changes, at the national and global levels, the foundations and principles of a harmonious, more equitable, socially oriented and secure world order are being developed as an alternative to the current system or the unipolar world order that has existed until now and which has become by its nature an obstacle to the development of civilization," Putin added.
The Russian President stressed that the idea of the complete hegemony of the "golden billion" is a racist and neo-colonial idea in nature and divides peoples into first and second classes, noting that Western countries have reached advanced positions in the world not only thanks to their achievements but to a large extent because of the theft of other peoples.
The owners of the “golden billion” theory believe that it is necessary to work to limit population growth, which is not compatible with global resources that are only sufficient for the life of only one billion people at the same standard of life as the inhabitants of the rich Western countries.
“The model of complete domination of the so-called golden billion lacks any justice: why should this golden billion dominate everyone and impose its own rules of behavior on them,” Putin said. Second, it is racist in nature and neo-colonial in essence, and the underlying doctrine of globalization, which is purported to be liberal, is increasingly acquiring the characteristics of totalitarian totalitarianism that inhibits creative research and limits free historical creativity.

Putin pointed out that the West simply cannot provide the world with a model for the future, and now the elites of the "golden billion" theory fear that other global centers will present their own development options, stressing that the current unipolar world order impedes global development.
