Places that forget to clean in the toilet and bathroom (mai_zimmy/)
One of the dirtiest and hardest places to clean in the house is probably the bathroom.
Shane Orak, a cleaning and lifestyle expert who calls herself Mai Zimi on Instagram and Tiktok - where she has tens of thousands of followers, shared three tips for cleaning toilets and revealed the three places most of us forget or don't know how to clean.
The first part is the panels or the wall behind your toilet.
"If you live in a house with boys, clean the panels and the wall behind the toilet with an antiseptic," she explained, "maybe an antiseptic wipe isn't the best product to use when cleaning a wall, but I prefer that stuff on my wall than urine."
The next thing she claims is the most important to clean and people are not aware of it is... the toothbrush.
"The brush is one of the products that accumulates the most dirt in the bathroom or the bathroom," she said, "if you don't want to buy a new brush just yet, give it a dip in a solution that consists of half water and half hydrogen peroxide."
But it is not enough to clean the brush, according to her, the cup or the brush holder should also be cleaned on a daily basis - and put it in the dishwasher for washing.

The hidden part in the bathroom that makes them stink even after thorough cleaning
The last thing that must be cleaned and people sometimes forget is a specific and important part of the toilet seat - the area where it is connected to the toilet.
"I'm not a scientist, but particles of urine accumulate in this area and collect fungi, it's a must to clean it."
TikTok user thebigcleanco also shared a video in which she reveals the problematic area in the bathroom that you must be missing.
It's not your fault - it's hidden and not easily accessible for cleaning - and after you find out what it is, you'll understand why your toilet smells bad even after a thorough scrubbing.
The problem area is under the toilet seat, but not under the lifting area - but at its edge, where the screws connect the seat to the toilet.
The cleaning expert explains: "If you have small children at home or even big ones and your toilets always smell like urine (even after you clean them), this is for you"

In the video, she removes every screw from the toilet - so that they too can be disinfected - and reveals to viewers the dirt that has accumulated underneath.
"See why it smells so bad?", she teased, "Yes, that's what you think it is."
Once you've exposed the dirty area, you can polish it with your regular cleaning supplies and ensure that every inch of your bathroom is perfect.
