The Moosburg middle school has done a decent job.

When the graduates left, good grades were also confirmation for the teachers.

Moosburg

– Moosburg’s Georg-Hummel-Mittelschule has now said goodbye to its graduates with two ceremonies: on Wednesday, the ninth-graders received their middle school or qualified middle school diploma, and on Thursday the two tenth graders received their secondary school leaving certificate.

The tenth graders

Principal Karin Schmidt was visibly proud of the 47 students in the two tenth grades.

88 percent passed and even 23rd place still had a two before the decimal point in the overall grade.

"Corona didn't make it easy for you," said the rector, and that's why you have to rate the achievements particularly highly.

Together with Mayor Josef Dollinger, she honored the best students, with Milana Stalmakova leading the way with an average grade of 1.33.

Mia Sperling (1.44) and Jennifer Marschoun (1.56) followed in the other places.

Headmistress Schmidt emphasized that grades would now open the doors when entering the adult world.

"We did our best to prepare you for it," said Karin Schmidt.

She also noted with pride that the young school leavers dressed elegantly like adults for the award ceremony.

She caused a few laughs with the last tip to the ex-students: "You shouldn't always rely on TikTok's tips."

Moosburg Mayor Josef Dollinger had another piece of advice ready when he welcomed the ninth and tenth graders.

"Get involved in clubs and in your city," was his wish.

Society needs this commitment from young people.

As head of the city administration, Dollinger also benefited from the good work at the middle school, because a graduate of the M10 was hired by the city as an apprentice.

The ninth graders

From the ninth grades, 70 students competed for the qualification, 60 percent of them graduated.

Headmistress Schmidt emphasizes that this rate is considerable given the anything but easy corona years.

23 students had an average grade of 2.5 and better.

At the top of the ninth graders was Lisa Kieninger, who passed the qualified secondary school certificate with a grade of 1.7.

Behind her in the list of the best are Jonas Hempel (2.1), Jale Oksal (2.1) and Diego Neumann (2.2).

At the graduation ceremonies there were special awards for social commitment.

From the ninth grade, Lorena Probst, the second student representative, who had been very involved as a mediator and arbitrator, was said goodbye.

Lukas Höllerer, who was a school paramedic for many years, finished school in the tenth grade.

Other awards for social commitment went to Bastian Weikl, Laura Kreidenweiß, Sophia Schmid and Mia Sperling from the M-Zug.

Proud parents in the audience: The students of the M-train were said goodbye at a ceremony in the Schäfflerhalle on Wednesday and celebrated by their relatives.

After saying goodbye to middle school, the majority of graduates with a secondary school leaving certificate now attend technical college for further qualifications.

70 percent of the ninth graders are now starting vocational training.

And some take a new approach for the qualification.
