Vienna-Sana

The Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, expressed concern over the situation at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant after Kyiv's forces targeted the plant, calling for "maximum restraint" to avoid any accidents.

"Recent reports about the nuclear power plant in Zaporozhye indicate that the situation there is becoming more and more worrying," Grossi was quoted by the RIA Novosti news agency as saying, referring to the intention of the International Atomic Energy Agency to send a mission to the station to coordinate matters related to safety, security and guarantees there.

Grossi called for not taking any action that would in any way harm the safety of the station.

Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Presidium of the Civil Military Administration of Zaporozhye Region, announced earlier that Ukrainian drones had tried to attack the nuclear power plant in the region.
