The activities of the fifth day of the Citadel and Wadi Festival varied from sports to artistic and cultural, distributed to the villages of Wadi Al-Nadara, in the presence of a large number of residents, expatriates and those interested in an atmosphere full of joy and life.

The events opened in the town square of Al-Hosn, where the Syrian Automobile Club organized the Drift Race for the Citadel and the Valley, in which six competitors from Syria’s champions participated in the drift race.

Dr. Samer Al-Khidr, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Syrian Automobile Club and General Manager, said that the club is participating for the second year in the activities of the Citadel and Wadi Festival, indicating that drift racing is a recognized international sport belonging to the International Motor Sports Federation organized by the club in Syria, where all its requirements are taken according to specific conditions.

In turn, Ahmed Najjar, the Syrian champion in the drift race in 2020, indicated that the event aims to develop this type of sports and introduce Syrians to drifting, and a message to speed lovers that there is an embrace and organization of drift by the Syrian Automobile Club.

In turn, the racer, Malath Al-Samman, the Syrian champion in the 2010 and 2011 speed races, showed that drifting depends on the car's inclination with speed, which is an enjoyable sport and has its own audience.

In the Cultural Center in Marmarita, an exhibition of sculpture and plastic arts was held, which included about 40 works of art, in which four plastic artists from Homs participated.

Plastic artist Iyad Bilal, organizer of the exhibition, pointed out that the Citadel and Valley Festival is a deep cultural event, indicating that the exhibition came as an affirmation of the cultural dimension of the festival and its topics are directed towards the human being with his expressive states, nature and paintings carrying a lot of joy and hope.

In turn, the plastic artist Mazen Mansour participated in 11 oil paintings, in which he embodied a variety of topics that varied between the rural environment and the female.

The plastic artist Salam Ahmed participated in several works representing faces with expressive cases that she drew based on her research that she completed in the field of faces.

In a related context, the Cultural Center in Oyoun Al-Wadi organized a zajal evening in which poets Ghassan Bustati, Bassam Bustati and Shakib Musa participated.

The events concluded with an artistic concert in the town square of Anaz, which was revived by the artist Alaa Ibrahim, in the presence of a large audience.
