Heavy thunderstorms are currently moving across the border to Bavaria - it's already cracking in these districts

A large thunderstorm front is already raging in Tyrol and is currently moving north-east across the Bavarian border.
A thunderstorm warning has already been issued in several counties.
Tegernsee/Munich - A major thunderstorm front gathered strength over the Tyrolean Alps during the early evening hours.
Now the storm is moving to Bavaria.
A view from Wallberg (see article picture above via foto-webcam.org) shows impressively how the storm front is slowly moving from the south-west to the north-east.
The German Weather Service (DWD) has currently issued a thunderstorm warning for the following districts:
Thunderstorm warning in Bavaria: These counties are affected
Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Weilheim-Schongau (eastern part)
Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen
Miesbach
Storm front over Bavaria: warning of gusts of wind, hail and lots of precipitation
In the affected regions, the DWD warns of gusts of wind with speeds of up to 85 km/h and heavy rain with precipitation amounts between 15 l/m² and 25 l/m² in a short time and hail.
According to current forecasts, the thunderstorm in the extreme south of Bavaria is moving east or north-east along the border.
Munich and regions further north are not affected for the time being.
Experts have already warned of significantly more humid air moving to Bavaria.
The risk of thunderstorms will therefore remain high in the coming days.
