Such a patrol by the police often has the potential for surprises.
In Oberammergau, investigators came across a huge amount of marijuana plants.
Oberammergau – Even the veil investigators were amazed: the officers of the Murnau Border Police Inspectorate (GPI) made an extraordinary find in Oberammergau on Thursday evening.
During the patrol they noticed a compost heap behind the cemetery.
It wasn't the sheer size of the hillock, about four meters high, but rather the vegetation that drew her attention.
On closer inspection, it was clear: there were several hundred marijuana plants.
Equipped with a scythe and pruning shears, the intoxicating greens were harvested and taken to the premises of the Murnau border police for safekeeping.
In total, more than 600 plants of the "holy herb" with a total weight of over 50 kilograms were secured behind the cemetery in the Passion Play location, the inspection reports.
Now it's time to find the original gardener.
