Monday, January 6, 1902, rue des Haies (Paris XXth).
It is 5 a.m. when two officers from the police station on rue Alexandre-Dumas, on patrol, make a strange discovery.

Two scorched orifices, which could correspond to the impacts of revolver bullets fired at close range, pierce this bloody cap.
