Today, the United States announced that it has provided Kyiv authorities with $270 million worth of new weapons, including four new HIMARS artillery systems.
AFP quoted White House spokesman John Kirby as saying today that the new shipment also includes 500 "Phoenix Ghost" attack drones, noting that Washington will also provide 36,000 additional artillery shells.
The United States announced earlier that it would provide Ukraine, in conjunction with its allies in Europe, up to 20 HIMARS missile launchers.
This comes despite repeated warnings of the dangers of arms being pumped into Ukraine and the possibility of them falling into the hands of terrorist organizations and spilling them onto the black market.
