Weather chaos in Bavaria: Storms are followed by the next heat wave - with an unpleasant side effect

The summer in Bavaria stays true to itself and changes from one extreme to the next.
But the next heat wave comes with a new, unsightly accompaniment.
Munich – After the thunderstorms, especially in the south and west of Bavaria, on Wednesday evening, July 20th, and in the night leading up to Thursday, July 21st, Friday, July 22nd, is showing its best side.
In Bavaria the temperatures climb back to the 30 degree mark, in Munich the sun is shining from a cloudless sky.
But that will change over the weekend - several times - before the Free State starts the next heat wave at the beginning of next week.
Weather in Bavaria: storms at the weekend – and sunshine
So a nice Friday – but not everywhere and throughout the day.
Because in the late afternoon the first thunderstorms are looming on the edge of the Alps, according to the German Weather Service (DWD).
And that's not without: The meteorologists write of heavy rain, hail and gusts of wind.
In the night of Saturday, July 23, the thunderstorms continue to move from the south-west across the Free State, according to the DWD with “similar side effects”.
Heavy rain cannot be ruled out either.
On Saturday, the weather in Bavaria will initially remain varied as the day progresses, and especially on Sunday, July 24th, there will be high temperatures again with bright sunshine.
Between 26 and 29 degrees are expected, and 30 degrees may be cracked in a few cases.

Then on Monday comes a real heat rush.
The only question is how hot it gets in Bavaria - that mainly depends on when it rains.
The experts around Jan Schenk at

cannot yet say that definitively.
Temperatures well over 30 degrees are almost certain on Monday, in Munich it will be around 33 degrees, in Nuremberg even 35.
What makes the situation in Bavaria a little more uncomfortable is a factor that has hardly come into its own this summer thanks to the dry Sahara air: muggy weather.
However, the experts expect this on Monday, since the moisture from the rain remains in the air.
It will be very humid, especially in the east and south-east of Bavaria, and Munich will also feel the weather effect.
According to weather.com, it is a considerable exertion for the body and circulatory system – even if the temperatures are lower than predicted thanks to the rain.
