China: 10 dead after a collapse on a mining site

Seven people were also injured in the accident. Rescue operations are now complete.


The collapse of a mountain section, Saturday, July 23, on the site of a coal mine in China left 10 dead and seven injured, announced public television CCTV.

The incident occurred around 11:15 a.m. local time (03:15 GMT) in the territory of the city of Baiyin, in Gansu province (northwest), the channel said, adding that the rescue operations were now over.
