The Israeli occupation forces the establishment of new settlements in the West Bank

New settlements announced by the Israeli occupation in separate areas of the West Bank to change the demographic and geographical situation in them in light of the silence of the international community, which encourages the occupation to persist in its crimes, foremost of which is settlement.

The National Bureau for Defending Land and Resisting Settlements of the Palestine Liberation Organization clarified in a report published today on its website that the settlers began protecting the occupation forces by establishing 6 outposts in Ramallah and Hebron and in the areas of Khallet Hodeidah and Khallet Al Shayeb in Salfit on the road leading to villages and towns on the western side of City.

The report indicated that the occupation authorities recently announced settlement plans to expand a number of settlements. The first includes the seizure of 1,480 dunams of the lands of the villages of Jalud and Qaryut south of Nablus, Turmusaya and al-Mughayyir north of Ramallah. 104 dunums of the lands of the village of Ras Karkar in Ramallah, while the fourth occupies 375 dunums of the lands of the village of al-Nuweima in the northern Jordan Valley.

The report pointed out that the occupation forces swept areas of the lands of the Wadi al-Rababa neighborhood in the town of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, to establish a settlement outpost, and demolished several facilities in the town of Anata, southeast of Jerusalem, and a house in Jericho. Another demolished several homes in the village of Al-Mughir, near Ramallah, and Aqbat Jaber camp in Jericho.

The report indicated that the settlers continue their attacks on the cities and towns of the West Bank under the protection of the occupation forces, as they stormed the towns of Kifl Haris in Salfit, Hawara in Nablus, and the Arab al-Malihat area in the northern Jordan Valley, and attacked Palestinians and their property, while they seized swathes of land in the Ibrahimi School in the Old City of Hebron and in the area of Al-Baqa’a and Yatta, south of the city. They cut down dozens of fruit trees in the towns of Kisan, Artas, and Al-Masara in Bethlehem, Turmusaya in Ramallah, Al-Shufa, Kafr Libbad in Tulkarm, and Qarawat Bani Hassan in Salfit, while uprooting 400 olive trees on the road between Nablus and Tulkarm.
