Geretsried – After the well-attended district festival on Neuer Platz, the youth and social work association (TVJA) put together a colorful program around the Ein-Stein youth club.

"There was a lot going on for six hours," said district manager Sandra Mader with satisfaction.

TVJA chairwoman Kerstin Halba and youth club director Indira Haunschild left the stage to young artists for numerous music and dance performances in the early afternoon after their greetings.

In addition, a bouncy castle, handicrafts from the Diakonie kindergarten, a Hau-den-Lukas stand and a photo box attracted many families.

For the first time, the working group Historical Geretsried also took advantage of the large number of visitors, showing three films in the Ein-Stein.

There was a historical tour of the district, a bunker tour with the deceased AK member Martin Walter and a documentary about local mountains on the screen.

"That was very interesting," praised Georg Hodolitsch.

The chairman of the Landsmannschaft of Germans from Hungary in Bavaria came to the party with his wife Christine and also got information at the booth of the working group.

"We want to become even better known and advertise our magazines," explained Werner Sebb.

The former Geretsried culture award winner was enthusiastic about the relaxed ambience of the district festival, to which the food and drink stands of the neighborhood meeting, the Diakonie kindergarten and the "Wilde Rose" association also contributed.

After a colorful belly dance by Katharina Glas, the band “Route 66” rocked the evening with cover songs by the Rolling Stones, Spider Murphy Gang and Eagles.

Singer Jacek Dlugosch wandered through the audience with his electric guitar and was surprisingly celebrated above all by dancing children.

At this point at the latest, the musical alliance between adult and young visitors was finally complete.
