The "complete program", as headmaster Adolf Geier called it, around their school leaving certificate was granted to the ninth and tenth graders of the middle school in Taufkirchen this year.

Taufkirchen – After the final trips and dance courses, there was a full-length celebration on Thursday, and above all together, the handing over of certificates in the packed community hall.

"After the circumstances of the last few years, it is not a matter of course that we are sitting here today.

You students have patiently carried and endured this, that is worthy of all honor," praised Vice President Gabriele Reiss to the applause of the 240 revelers and also reminded of the additional cramped space due to the new building of the middle school: "You carried the burden that the Generations after you will benefit from the new school”.

The focus was all the more on enjoying the special evening and looking forward to the future of the 80 young adults with anticipation.

Adolf Geier also asked what this would bring in a motivating, encouraging speech and gave the confident answer: “Much more positive than negative.

You just have to allow it and want to see it."

He explained why humans, based on evolutionary biology, concentrate too much on the negative and made all adults responsible for conveying a positive world view to young people.

Geier followed up such messages in the form of recorded music videos, confessed to being an AC/DC fan after “Feuerherz” and “Silbermond” and encouraged the graduates to be open and self-confident: “We have enough pessimists, doubters, naysayers, complainers.

The world belongs to the courageous, self-confident and curious, the country belongs.

It doesn't need heroes, it needs optimists and people who have a zest for life."

The brave ones certainly include the former students, who took the stage on behalf of their class, in front of classmates, parents, teachers and the mayors of the school associations, to say goodbye and say thank you to them.

Like Luca Achatz, who spoke for the 9a under Eva Regahl's class leadership and said in advance how he came to this task: "Because I couldn't hold my own." a teacher's computer skills and asked for applause for the support he and his classmates have received from the school.

The thanks of the students Magdalena Irl and Paulina Preißler from the former 9b, a "chaotic bunch that always stuck together", as they said, went to two class teachers.

Martina Meschenat failed due to pregnancy, she was succeeded by Susanne Denk.

Orfanidou Efthimia thanked class teacher Ulrich Hauer for her “most beautiful school year”, who had accompanied the 10a to middle school.

With Andreas Lechner, Jonathan Michalik, Andrä Perez and Tiziano Zoia, she presented him with a jersey from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Class teacher Alexander Urban, who was absent due to illness, was only able to say goodbye to class 10b via video, which his wife Eva filmed.

"Mr. Urban, you really rocked it," Magdalena Brenninger, Christine Wolfrum and Maria Heilmeier greeted the musicians on their smartphones.

Congratulations on the graduations also came from Taufkirchen's mayor and school association chairman Stefan Haberl: "Hats off to all of you, everyone did their best.

Now you can let the tension go away from you.” The teachers are also significantly involved in the success, they can also be celebrated, said Haberl.
