Meghan Markle's first meeting with Queen Elizabeth didn't go as expected, according to Tom Bower's biography.

In "Revenge" he reports on the performance with Prince Harry.

In it, he reveals that the corgis were at Meghan's feet, but Prince William was suspicious.

London – The fact that the wild party prince Harry (37) met a marriage candidate in October 2016 was initially good news for the British royal family.

Meghan Markle (40) reports in the famous interview with Oprah Winfrey (68) how the first meeting with Queen Elizabeth (96) should have gone.

But now Tom Bower's (84) biography "Revenge" has revealed that an unfortunate meeting in Windsor Park between Meghan and the monarch is said to have happened before they officially met.

There was a fleeting, surprising encounter in Windsor Park, in which Meghan made an "unpracticed, unfortunate curtsy" in front of the British Queen.

But the official version goes like this: In October 2017, Meghan met the British Queen.

She set aside the usual procedure to please grandson Harry and gave her consent over sandwiches and tea at Windsor Castle.

The regent's corgis, which Prince Harry - he later reported - had only barked at for 33 years, lay tails wagging at Meghan's feet when she met the Queen.

Prince William (40), writes Bower, immediately had a premonition that his little brother's now fiancé would "split" the family.

A month later, Meghan would have packed up her things in Toronto and flown to London to start her new life.

In Meghan's description in the Winfrey interview, there is no meeting in the park

In the famous tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey after the departure of the Sussexes, Meghan remembers her first meeting with Elizabeth II somewhat differently. She stated that she did not want to find out about Harry's family in advance and therefore curtsied in the Queen's private environment would not have known.

When Harry asked her on the drive to the meeting if she knew how to curtsy, she told Winfrey, "And that was really the first moment the penny dropped that this wasn't going to be easy for me."

They would have practiced in front of the property and she would have got the hang of it very quickly.

There is no hint of clumsiness or meeting Her Majesty in the park in Meghan's portrayal.

"And then we just sat there and talked, and it was nice and easy," reads the plain account.

Meghan later added that she has always had a good relationship with the Queen.

"The Queen has always been wonderful to me."
