It was a cinematic farewell with great box office results: the Zolling middle school dismissed five senior classes.

Zolling

– beaming faces at the end: the graduates of two ninth and thirteenth grades were said goodbye to the middle school in Zolling with speeches, music, dance, acting and “Oscars”.

The past school year was reviewed by students and teachers under the motto "Start filming".

Even before the celebration began on Friday evening, the well-being of the graduates was toasted with a glass of sparkling wine.

While the graduating classes of 2021 had been said goodbye in individual events due to the corona, this year the traditional joint celebration could take place again in the community center.

The motto "Film off" shaped the varied evening.

The "screenplay curriculum" is indeed predetermined, but each individual can write their own individual screenplay.

Headmaster Thomas Dittmeyer encouraged his protégés to do this.

The "grossing results" could have been impressive again this year: In two ninth classes, 54 percent of the students achieved the "Quali", 98 percent in the thirteenth classes the middle school certificate.

Principal: "Each and every one of you was an asset"

"But numbers don't say everything," admitted Dittmeyer.

How the "film" went, everyone feels differently.

The expectations are different.

"Your life is full of scripts yet to be written."

The headmaster was able to assure the graduates of one thing: "Each and every one of you was an enrichment for our school life." It was a pleasure to accompany the students, to tremble with them and sometimes to argue.

"We look forward to you visiting us again." But we're also happy about everyone who's staying at the school.

"You are all great," praised Dittmeyer.

The best: (from 3rd from left) Michaela Winkler (2.1), Nina Farlock (2.1), Laura Sixt (1.2), Katrina Brackhage (1.9), Lennox Heinze (2.1), Kiara Stop (2.2), Neo Tilg (2.2).

The farewell was also emotional for the students.

The speakers of the individual grades handed their teachers small gifts, with a husky voice and many a few suppressed tears.

Not forgotten were the administrative staff who "kept the shop running".

The teachers also took part on the stage

"There is only one way in the world that no one can walk but you," Stefanie Spachtholz, deputy chair of the parents' council, quoted the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche as saying.

"Have the courage to take a detour," she advised the young people.

"Be great in what you do," said Mayor Helmut Priller.

"There are real opportunities out there for you." At the same time, he reminded people that lifelong learning is required.

The students of classes 8Ma and 8Mb presented a rousing dance routine.

Maria Neufeld received a lot of applause for her solo playing on the piano.

The teachers also took part on the stage.

As a projectionist and cleaning lady in the cinema hall, the class teachers of the ninth grade, Dagmar Kiermayer and Carolin Trost, parodied many an event from the final year.

"The Oscar goes to all of you," said the tenth class teachers, Pauline Littau, Jana Maier and Laura Ubelacker.
