The world ranking of the best golf players
Author of a last card of 69 (-2), the French Agathe Laisné completed her four laps with a total of 287 (+3).
She leaves the Haut-Savoyard Major with a smile.
A tasty anecdote also particularly amused her.
During the second round, completed in 70 (-1), the Racing player narrowly passed the cut and had a funny mishap on hole 18 (her ninth hole during the 2nd round).
“
I wanted to play my ball with a slight draw on my tee shot
(right-left effect),
the hole lends itself to this with a left-right slope.
But my draw was stronger than expected and my ball hit the trees and landed directly in the recycling bin which is on the 18 (par 5).

The stewards searched for a few minutes but found it hard to believe the ball could be in a trash can.
Agathe Laisne
A misadventure that made the Francilienne laugh.

The stewards searched for a few minutes but found it hard to believe the ball could be in a bin.
It was my family members who were following the game who saw the ball land directly in the trash can.
We laughed a lot with my cousin
(his caddy this week
).
It relaxed me because there was a lot of pressure at that time.
The referee came, he told me
'we have to drop the ball below the trash can'.
And we were able to move it with a club length without penalty of course.
We shifted the removable trash can and I was able to play my second shot without embarrassment.
It's the first time it's happened to me in a tournament and I've never seen it with a pro player.
“In the end, the French committed a bogey on this hole, “
but not because of a blow there
”, she specifies.
