A 34-year-old triggered a large-scale operation in Freising: he climbed onto a crane to film a video for Facebook.
Freising
- Everything for the clicks: A Freisinger wanted to film a video of the cathedral city from a bird's eye view on Saturday evening - and triggered a large-scale operation.
As reported by the police, passers-by reported on Saturday around 9:15 p.m. that a person in the Lerchenfeld district of Freising was unauthorized on a crane at a height of almost 20 meters.
She is standing at the end of the boom with a smartphone in her hand.
Man resists requests from rescue workers
In addition to the rescue service and two patrols from the Freising police station, around 20 firefighters with turntable ladders and safety nets also went to the industrial construction site on Clemensänger-Ring.
When they asked the man to get down from the crane, he initially refused.
Only after a lot of persuasion and with the help of a fire brigade ladder could he finally be brought back to solid ground three quarters of an hour later.
Then the 34-year-old also explained why he had put himself in this life-threatening situation: he wanted to film a video for Facebook.
The Freisinger was handed over to the rescue service.
The police are now examining the criminal consequences of the action, which could have gone much less lightly, for the 34-year-old.
Because he entered the construction site illegally, at least one report of trespassing is possible.
In addition, both the police and the fire brigade charge him for the costs of the operation.
