A hiker died of suspected heat stroke in Yuen Long.
At about 4 pm today (24th), a 33-year-old Indonesian woman and another girlfriend were hiking on the mountain. The two walked to the Fanjin Highway near Jigongling in Pat Heung. The woman was suspected of heat stroke.
Rescuers arrived and found the woman in a coma.
She was then rescued by a helicopter of the Government Flying Service, but unfortunately died. The police classified the case as a body found and are investigating the cause. The cause of the female victim's death will be determined after an autopsy.
