The graduation ceremony of the Peißenberg middle school was a celebration of joy.

Whether teachers, parents or students: everyone was proud of the achievements that evening.

Peißenberg - "You can see what you have sown over the year and now you can reap," said Rector Susanne Coldwell, pleased that many of her protégés have now graduated from school.

Of the 44 ninth graders, 30 took part in the qualification, only five of them did not pass.

"Often it was for reasons that weren't their fault," Coldwell explained.

Some, however, would also have to take a good look at their own noses.

Secondary school in Peißenberg: High success rate among the seniors

The tenth graders in the M branches were able to trump the good 83 percent success rate.

31 young people took the middle school certificate, 30 of them passed, one still has to take an exam.

"It's approaching the 100 percent mark," said the rector enthusiastically.

She encouraged the graduates: "You can also build something beautiful from stones that are placed in your way." Such obstacles have existed in recent years due to the lack of teachers and all the Corona regulations;

a class teacher also died.

Now it's up to the former students to continue building their lives, even if the stones are sometimes crooked, says Coldwell.

The chair of the parents' council, Katharina Nöding, took up Coldwell's speech and encouraged the young people to simply climb over stones on the path, even if it sometimes led in the wrong direction.

"You make mistakes too!

Mistakes are character building," she said.

Mayor Frank Zellner also congratulated and was full of confidence: "With your school leaving certificate you belong to those to whom the future belongs." Especially in times of a shortage of skilled workers, the Peißenberg graduates are valuable.

He hopes many of them will graduate in the church.
