The state of health of US President Joe Biden, positive for Covid since Thursday, continues to improve, his personal doctor said on Sunday in a letter released by the White House.
"His symptoms continue to improve greatly," wrote Dr. Kevin O'Connor.
"His most important symptom is now a sore throat," he added, seeing it as an "encouraging" sign.
At his age, the president - who received a full vaccination - falls into the category of people at risk of developing a severe case of the disease.
He is therefore treated with Paxlovid, an anti-Covid pill from Pfizer, a drug that he “continues to support well”, specified his doctor.
A “well supported” treatment, had entrusted the doctor on Saturday.
