The 2022 edition of the Tour de France is coming to an end, under a blazing sun.
Tissot, official timekeeper of the event, once again accompanied the cyclists from all over the world who take part in it to the Champs-Élysées.
With nearly 200 runners and more than 3,000 km covered, the Tour de France remains one of the greatest sporting events in the world, and the most watched.
Tissot was responsible for the timing of the Tour from 1988 to 1992 before joining forces with the International Cycling Union in 1995 to become the Official Timekeeper of the Road, Track, Mountain Bike and BMX World Championships.
The Swiss brand returned to the Tour de France in 2016, and also times the other major tours, the Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta a España.
How to time such an event?
Sensors are installed on the steps,
the bikes are equipped with transponders and the whole system is controlled by several computers.
Finally, at the finish lines, high-speed cameras can capture 10,000 photos per second to dissect the tightest sprint finishes.

On this 2022 edition of the T Race Cycling, we find pushers evoking the brake levers while the hands symbolize spokes.
The central ring of the watch case is made of carbon.
The perforated leather added to the rubber strap is reminiscent of the handlebar grips of touring bikes.
Finally, the race logos are engraved on the caseback and the colors of each event (yellow for the Tour de France, pink for the Giro, red for the Vuelta) are repeated on the second hands and the crowns.
Its quartz movement indicates hours, minutes, seconds and date, with chronograph function.
