Is Iran planning revenge action against the US?
Secret services warn of the acute danger.
Donald Trump could be a target of such an action.
Washington/Munich – Iran wants revenge – are Joe Biden, Donald Trump or other US politicians in mortal danger because the Gulf state is planning a deadly action?
According to a report by the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), this possibility certainly exists.
Biden went on a trip to the Middle East in July, which is why the analysis was created.
It is based on Iran's public statements and actions over the past few months.
The report, marked not for publication, is available to

Intelligence report: Trump is named as a potential target of Iran
Ex-President Trump is mentioned as a potential target: after all, it was he who ordered the killing of a high-ranking Iranian general by drone attack in Iraq in early January 2020.
The commander of the al-Quds Forces, Qassem Soleimani, has been blamed for planning numerous terrorist attacks abroad and was considered one of the foremost minds in Iran's military strategy.
Now Trump himself is said to be a target, the report says: "Since January 2021, Tehran has publicly expressed intentions to conduct lethal operations inside the United States, targeting former President Donald Trump, former Secretary of State Michael Pompeo and the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Kenneth McKenzie, as priority targets for retaliation.”
US drone attack on general: Iran had announced retaliation
And further: "The Iranian regime is conducting a multi-pronged campaign consisting of threats of deadly measures, international legal maneuvers and the issuance of arrest warrants and sanctions against selected US officials." Tehran announced retaliation immediately after the drone attack and this intention in the past months repeatedly.
There are no comments from Trump, Pompeo or McKenzie.
The report could fuel new tensions between countries negotiating a new nuclear deal.
Sanctions against Iran could follow if the country allows controls to ensure Tehran is not making nuclear weapons.
Trump canceled the last agreement.
