The Dutch driver Max Verstappen, from Red Bull, won the French Grand Prix with a wide advantage this Sunday, with which he now leads the Formula 1 drivers' championship comfortably.

With victory at the French GP, Verstappen reached 233 points in the 2022 F1 championship, 63 ahead of his closest pursuer, Charles Leclerc (of Ferrari), who left the race on lap 18 this Sunday.
Mexican Sergio "Checo" PĂ©rez, also of Red Bull, lost third position to George Russell of Mercedes with three laps to go in the race.
This result adds to the second place obtained by his teammate, Lewis Hamilton, who took second place in the Grand Prix.
