This morning, with the end of the collection of evidence, the police forces of the Ashkelon station, together with the soldiers of the Southern Border Police, raided the homes of 17 suspects residents of the city of Ashkelon, aged 20-40, who were arrested for questioning on suspicion of trafficking and distribution of dangerous drugs. As part of the raid, the police seized a total of - 2.5 kg of dangerous drugs, including marijuana, ketamine, hashish and other types, seven vehicles used by the suspects to distribute the drugs and over NIS 24,000 in cash.
Upon completion of the investigation of the suspects, most of them will be brought before the Ashkelon Peace Court with a request to extend their detention.
The police stated that "The Israel Police continues its fight against the use and trade of dangerous drugs that are sold to anyone using various apps, and even to minors who consume them without any consideration while putting their lives at real risk."
