In an interview with People magazine, the Ghost (1990) actress opened up about her determination to keep long hair.

For years, she did not hesitate to dye, cut and shave her hair, often for the needs of a film.

But as she approaches her 60th birthday, which she will celebrate in November, Demi Moore no longer wishes to part with her long hair.

The actress gave an interview to

Natural above all else

“I did everything for my hair.

I shaved them.

I dyed them.

I had a square.

But now, when I'm not working, I try to touch it as little as possible, "said the ex-wife of Bruce Willis.

Before continuing: “If I have nowhere to go, I don't straighten them, I just try to leave them natural.

And I don't wash them too often.

That doesn't mean the mother of Tallulah, 28, Scout, 31, and Rumer Willis, 33, has put hair appointments aside.

“I regularly have the ends of my hair trimmed to keep it healthy.

The rest comes from within.

You have to eat well,” she explained.

Before adding: “Now that I am older, I know that I have nothing more to prove.

So if a producer really needs my hair to be different, he can give me a wig."

also slammed the cliché that women over a certain age have to sport a short haircut.

“I remember hearing someone say that when women get older they shouldn't have long hair.

And something about it stuck with me,” she said.

Before continuing: “But who said that?

If our hair can be long and undamaged, then why can't we keep that length?

I'm not comfortable with rules that don't seem to have any real meaning or justification."

To conclude her interview, the actress revealed her favorite hair product: "When you have long hair, you need a conditioner that is not too thick, that of Kevin Murphy."

At the beginning of July, Demi Moore unveiled on her Instagram account her first collection of swimsuits with the American brand Andie Swim.
