Boaz Bismut, the former editor-in-chief of "Israel Hayom", announced today (Monday) that he will run in the primaries of the Likud party.
Bismuth, who will compete for a place on the party's national list, said: "I feel at home. I was warmly received in the movement and I receive huge support."
Bismuth served for five years as the editor-in-chief of Israel Hayom.
Before that, he served as a reporter and commentator in the foreign desk of the newspaper.
In April 2004 he was appointed Israel's ambassador to Mauritania at the initiative of Foreign Minister Sylvan Shalom.
In the years 1990-2004 he was a correspondent for "Yediot Ahronoth" in Paris.
