As the economic situation deteriorates and the cost of debt is about to increase for some companies, all eyes are on State Guaranteed Loans (PGE), the name of these loans distributed at the heart of the crisis. sanitary facilities by the banks and guaranteed between 70 and 90% by the State, in order to support companies in difficulty.
According to the Court of Auditors, 137 billion euros of PGE had been granted as of December 31, 2021, of which 70% during the first confinement, between March and June 2020.
Since the beginning of the month, the counter has indeed been closed and it is now time for reimbursement.
For the moment, the indicators remain reassuring, even if the rate of losses increases.
According to the Banque de France, it fell from 3.1% in January 2022 to 4.6%,
“due to several methodological changes and taking into account the deterioration of the macroeconomic environment
”.
