74 students from the Realschule Peißenberg received their diplomas on Friday.

They celebrated together with relatives, classmates and teachers in the underground hall.

Hohenpeissenberg – The graduation ceremony of the Realschule Peißenberg had a number of highlights to offer.

Whether it was the musical interludes of the school choir - musical songs such as Bryan Adam's hit "Summer of 69" were sung - or the speeches of the class teachers of the 10th grade: the Realschule students can proudly say that their school days are a fitting farewell became.

Head girl Maxime Bilata said in her speech: "Today we celebrate the moment that our parents always announced as the serious side of life." It was only now that the "fun of life" began.

Bilata received thunderous applause from her classmates for her sentence “We managed it”.

The four class teachers of classes 10 a to d were also proud.

"You were fantastic, you inspired me," said teacher Markus Brennauer about his students.

His colleague Kerstin Prell reviewed the past few years and it was clear that it wasn't always easy.

"But now it's finally done," said the teacher.

She expressed confidence that everyone will go their own way in life.

The best in school was represented in her class - Kira Alicia Wurzer finished her secondary school career with the dream grade of 1.17.

The class teacher of the 10c, Maximilian Woiki, came to the ceremony with a freshly cut mullet hairstyle.

Despite his students' advice ("The barbers have reopened"), the math and physics teacher had worn his hair for the past two years.

He had promised his students that if they all passed the final exams, they could choose his haircut.

Said and done.

When Woiki then also intoned in his speech "There is only one 10c" based on "There is only one' Rudi Völler", most of the students and guests could no longer hold back the laughter.

But Woiki should not be the last highlight of the graduation ceremony.

He was followed by his colleague Andrea Ammann, who performed a song she had written herself on the stage at the black Seiler grand piano.

The music teacher addressed the suffering of students (and teachers!) during the Corona pandemic and encouraged the guests in the hall to sing along.

Headmaster Armin Thefeld was satisfied with his graduates.

More students than ever had achieved a first before the decimal point in their degree.

A total of 23 of the 74 graduating students received vouchers sponsored by Sparkasse and VR-Bank.

Rector Thefeld wished the graduating students happiness, success and health.

"Take care of yourselves and use the chances and opportunities that present themselves." The students are always welcome in their former school.

"If you ever come along Sonnenstrasse, feel free to drop by and tell us how you're doing," said the rector.

The celebrations for the junior high school students didn't end with the presentation of their certificates.

The celebrations continued on Friday and Saturday evenings in the Haslacher Hof in Böbing.

It is not known whether teacher Maximilian Woiki was still wearing his mullet cut.

When asked by the local newspaper on Friday afternoon, he stated that he probably had to go to the hairdresser again.

"We have a family party coming up.

I can't go like that," he said, laughing.
