The United Nations Security Council today strongly condemned the Turkish regime's aggression on Dohuk governorate last Wednesday in northern Iraq, which led to the killing of nine people and the wounding of more than 23 others.
And the Iraqi News Agency (INA) quoted the Security Council as saying in a statement today that it "strongly condemns the attack on Dohuk Governorate, and it also renews its support for Iraq's independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity."
And the council added in its statement... We also support the Iraqi authorities in the investigations into the attack and urge all member states to cooperate with the Iraqi government to support the investigations.
The UN Security Council had set tomorrow as a date for holding an emergency session on the Turkish attack on Dohuk governorate.
