The "District Matters Coordination Working Group" unanimously approved to launch a three-month territory-wide clean-up campaign in August. It reviewed the action plans submitted by various departments, including about 4,000 sites that need to strengthen daily cleaning work, and about 600 sites that need to be cleaned up. Wong Wai-lun pointed out that in order to expedite the construction of public housing, the working group reviewed projects that have the potential to apply the "assembly and synthesis" construction method, and suggested that public housing to be built in the future should adopt relevant construction methods and other advanced technologies where feasible.

The working group is also studying to strengthen departmental collaboration and streamline the housing construction process, and will propose specific methods for "improving efficiency and speed" later.

The meeting also discussed specific work directions for improving and speeding up the overall supply of public housing. The report writing is progressing well at present, and it is expected that specific recommendations will be submitted to the Chief Executive by the end of September.
