There was indeed reason to celebrate on Monday at the Heilig Blut girls' secondary school: Of the 151 graduates, more than one in three (55) has a one before the decimal point.

21 completed their ten-year schooling with a grade better than 1.5.

Erding – The one who welcomed the girls to the church school six years ago sat (only) in the audience for the first time: the former head Josef Grundner.

His successor Christiane Scharfe congratulated the graduates, but reminded them "that the world has changed since your first day of school here - Corona, war and climate change".

It is a time “that requires our full commitment”.

However, one should not lose sight of the positive.

"Life consists of moments, especially those that give courage and confidence".

Today is such a happy moment, as are the friendships made, learning success and helpful parents.

"Those who appreciate the little things lay the foundation for a happy life," she said to the young women.

Deputy District Administrator Franz Hofstetter wished the secondary school students "that it was a time that you remembered fondly".

They had achieved "great degrees".

The certificate is "a piece of freedom that you have fought for".

He encouraged people to switch to the professional world, "because we urgently need skilled workers".

He also called on the discharge students: “Get involved culturally, socially, but also politically.

We have many challenges to overcome.

We need you for that.”

Mayor Max Gotz decided that the class “had attended a very special school”.

If he has applications from graduates of the girls’ secondary school in the town hall, “then we know that it fits.

The school enjoys an excellent reputation”.

Overall, the district has an excellent educational landscape in which "a special personality matures from each individual".

Susanne Fischbach from the Parents' Council attested to the young women: "You can be proud of what you have achieved." The Realschule is a good type of school that keeps all paths open.

"I would recommend her immediately.

Not everyone has to go to high school.” In view of the two years of school, especially in home schooling, she takes off her hat to what she has achieved, because there was a lot of catching up to do, especially in the final year.

Student representative Heidi Göß commented on the conclusion with the words: "No one can take that away from us." She recalled the first day of school here: "We were nervous, full of anticipation, but also overwhelmed." After that, the six years flew by.

She remarked melancholy: “Today our ways are beginning to part.

Some friendships last, others don't.”

For the four best of the year, success did not fall from the sky.

The best average scored 1.0 Anna Fehlberger from Walpertskirchen.

"I worked towards it, but I didn't expect this grade," says the 16-year-old, who is now starting training as a speech therapist.

The second best result was 1.09 Lena Marie Stresau from Moosinning.

"I've really learned a lot," reports the 16-year-old, who will be moving to the Korbinian-Aigner-Gymnasium in the fall.

After that work or study?

Stresau doesn't know that yet.

Lena Hupfer from Langengeisling received applause at the closing ceremony not only for her average of 1.17, but also for her pieces on the harp.

She also needs sensitivity professionally: she begins training as a nursing specialist at the Erding Clinic.

Katharina Berg from Innerbittlbach (Lengdorf) also finished her secondary school with a grade of 1.17.

Math and works were her best subjects.

The next goal of the 16-year-old is the FOS.

Scharfe honored all schoolgirls with an average of up to 1.5 with a book gift.

Roses were given to young women who were also involved outside of their lessons, for example in the orchestra or in the school medical service.
