On video: A whale storms a fishing boat off the coast of Massachusetts (from Twitter)

A whale that emerged from the waters of the Atlantic Ocean to the coast of Massachusetts in the United States landed on the stern of a small ship and submerged it in the water for seconds.

The amazing moment was captured yesterday morning (Sunday) by the camera lens and went viral.

In the video, a fin whale is seen emerging from the water before landing on a six-meter-long ship, submerging it in the water before refloating.

The incident happened yesterday at 10 am local time at White Horse Beach in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

"It was crazy," a witness named Ryder Parkhurst told NBC Boston.

"The ship was in the wrong place at the wrong time, that's all. Emerges...boom...right on the stern of the ship. I saw the ship fly, it was crazy. I didn't believe it would be able to float after that."

In a statement from the city of Plymouth, it was stated that a team was sent to check the condition of the people who were on board the ship.

There were no reports of casualties or significant damage to the ship.

It is not clear if the whale was injured.
