District – On Monday night, a severe storm passed over Wolfratshausen, Münsing, Icking and the surrounding area and caused devastation.
The police and the integrated control center received more than 100 emergency calls.
The heat wave ended with a violent storm on Monday night (July 25) and caused more than a hundred fire brigade deployments in the northern district.
The focus of the operations was the city of Wolfratshausen and the surrounding communities of Icking, Egling, Münsing, Gelting and Eurasburg, says Stefan Kießkalt, spokesman for the district fire inspection.
“From 10.15 p.m. the alarms went out every minute.
Fallen trees fell across the road, crashing into cars or buildings.
Roofs were covered and water made its way into the buildings,” says Kießkalt.
The towns of Wolfratshausen and Weidach were particularly affected.
There, a tree also crashed into the overhead line of the S-Bahn and made it impossible to continue.
The approximately 35 passengers were evacuated by the fire brigade from the S-Bahn near Schlederloh.

The police stated that between Icking and Wolfratshausen a massive pavilion was also blown onto the tracks and ensured that the S-Bahn had to interrupt its journey.
Nobody was injured in this.
Since the feeder was able to brake in time, there was no damage to property.
The passengers were freed from the train.
Several trees had fallen in Ammerland, and a car could no longer drive on.
The five occupants of a car had to unintentionally interrupt their journey in Icking due to the road being blocked by trees and were locked in their car.
The fire brigade was able to free her unharmed.
After the road was clear again, they were able to continue their journey.

"In addition to numerous trees that the storm had snapped or uprooted like matches and that had fallen onto the streets, sidewalks, vehicles and houses, basements were full of water and house roofs were covered," reports Police Superintendent Robert Wimmer.
Parked trailers, construction site signs and site fences were also blown away, endangering pedestrians and vehicle drivers.
Also triggered by the storm in Wolfratshausen and Geretsried fire alarm systems.
According to the District Fire Inspectorate, these were false alarms.
"A woman in Wolfratshausen was lucky in misfortune," reports Wimmer.
The storm of the storm blew a garden house away and hit the Wolfratshauserin on the arm.
She was able to go to the hospital on her own to get her wound treated.

The police also had to record three traffic accidents that were caused by the storm: The A95 in the Icking area was heavily soiled with branches and leaves.
Trees had also fallen onto the left lane.
Leaves clogged the gullies, flooding the roadway.
A driver skidded as a result, turned around and came to a stop in the crash barrier.
In the second case, a tree fell onto the road in Egling.
Despite braking immediately, the driver did not come to a stop in time and drove into the obstacle on the road.
The driver of the car driving directly behind was able to avoid the accident car, but also drove into the tree.

Missions are still ongoing
In Wolfratshausen, the driver of a car had to brake due to Styrofoam plates being blown around.
A driver behind recognized this too late and drove into the car in front of him.
“In all three accidents, there was only property damage.
There were no injuries,” says the police commissioner.
The amount of property damage caused by the storm cannot yet be quantified.
Currently, there are always calls from the fire brigades.
To support the deployed fire brigades in the northern district, a section control center was set up in the Bad Tölz equipment house, from which the operations were coordinated.
Because not only the fire brigades in Wolfratshausen and Weidach were in constant use.
All fire brigades from the district were alerted to support.
The fire brigades used were Wolfratshausen, Weidach, Gelting, Ammerland, Münsing, Holzhausen, Icking, Dorfen, Egling, Ergertshausen, Ascholding, Eurasburg, Beuerberg, Degerndorf and Geretsried.
