According to a media report, the federal office of the Greens issues an internal language regulation for the nuclear power plant debate. This becomes particularly clear when it comes to fuel rods.

Some want it, others don't: The Greens disagree on the question of a possible extension of the service life of German nuclear power plants.

That should change, at least in terms of communication: As the “Welt” reports, the federal office of the party has sent an internal email in which it recommends a “uniform language and a specific procedure”, the report says.

»Fundamentally important: we don't let ourselves be driven by bogus debates.

In the past, we have made decisions based on facts and the state of affairs and will continue to do so, "says the mail from the headquarters.

Answers should be »as calm and brief as possible«.

»We reject a term extension«

The report also quotes: "The following line is suggested as a proposal: the Ministry of Economic Affairs is currently examining the security of supply of electricity in a second, more far-reaching stress test." As of now, this is guaranteed.

“As soon as the results are available, we will – as before – discuss possible further measures based on the situation.

We reject a service life extension, i.e. the procurement of new fuel rods.«

"If you have other inquiries and conversations, it's always worth pointing out that with a view to autumn and winter, it's all about warmth - so it's also about diversification and energy saving," it also says.
