Khalil Kimchi, who died after being sucked into the sinkhole in the pool, was laid to rest last week.

His mother, Orit, paid him a painful tribute.

"I'm standing in front of you at the most difficult moment in my life. I can't believe I'm the one paying your respects," she said.

"The way of nature is that you are the one who should eulogize me. I am sure that the eulogy was witty, sensitive and special. But what can I, with my limited talents, write about you?"

"In two words, you were the whole of perfection, like the name we chose for you. Every other word will only detract. The sinkhole that took you from us is a gap in all of us, a deep hole that will never be completely filled," continued the mother.

"We always said you were the chocolate in the sandwich, but the sandwich remained without chocolate. I promise I'll try to hold the sandwich for Abba Shaf, Irit, Neve and Gefen."

The mother also said that "we did everything we could to make you happy in your short life, and you didn't miss any section either - sea, pool, sports, parties, restaurants and bars. How ironic that what you loved so much drew you to your death. The only consolation for all of us is that you spent And enjoy until your last moments, we will love you forever."

The 32-year-old Kimchi was killed last week during a pool party at a villa in the Karmi Yosef settlement, after being swept into a 13-meter-deep sinkhole that opened at the bottom.

The incident happened during an event of a marketing company.

Another man, 34 years old, was also swept into the pit, but managed to get out on his own.

Rescuers searched for the dead man for several hours, until his body was found, and he was pronounced dead on the spot.
