Troops of the Lugansk People's Republic declared control of the thermal power plant.
"People's Police units of the Luhansk Republic have taken control of the thermal power plant located in the town of Svetlodarsk, which is a major industrial facility in the region," the spokesman of the republic's forces, Ivan Filipponenko, said in a statement carried by TASS.
Filipponenko explained that the lands belonging to the power station are being cleared of the remnants of the Ukrainian armed groups.
The office of the Lugansk People's Republic in the Joint Control and Coordination Center announced yesterday that the Ukrainian forces bombed the city of Alchevsk with US HIMARS missiles.
