Do cleaners need to vacuum dust and hair from the dog's bed?
(TikTok @morethancleaning)
Most dog owners are crazy about their dog, but let's face it: almost no one likes their dog's fur, which leaves marks and dirt all over the house.
But don't worry, Elizabeth Samuel from Texas found a suitable solution to this problem and shared her trick online.
What did she do you ask?
Well, very simple.
Elizabeth taped sticky scotch tape to the bottom of the broom's bristles in such a way that all the dogs' fur that was on the floor stuck to it and whatever didn't was picked up by the broom beforehand.
She then replaced the paper and pulled more and more fur until the floor was completely carpeted.
Surfers were shocked by the simplicity of this trick and most asked: "Seriously? Where have we been until now?"
That's how she does it
More methods that work
If the dog's fur gets stuck in your clothes, just take gloves that are in almost every home.
The friction between the gloves and the fabric pulls the fur and makes it stick to the gloves.
A pair of cleaning gloves (latex or rubber) was found to be an effective solution - wet the gloves with water, especially the finger area and as soon as these come in contact with the hairs on the various surfaces, they stick instantly.
To increase the pulling effect, you can apply some pressure and rub.
If you don't have rubber gloves around, it is possible to use cloth gloves, but you should take into account that they are less effective and of course require cleaning after use. On the carpet
Carpets are indeed a main source of hair accumulation.
So just before you vacuum the carpet, you should sweep it thoroughly.
This action may save valuable time, and will make pumping faster and more efficient.
Also, by using a broom beforehand, you will avoid a situation of blocking the vacuum cleaner and the need to empty it often.
Even in cases where there is no intention to vacuum the carpet, it is recommended to sweep it frequently and not wait until it accumulates many hairs.
Although it is impossible to permanently eliminate the hairs from the house, regular maintenance and cleaning will ensure a clean and hair-free living environment.
Finally, you can sprinkle a little diluted fabric softener on the floor and let it dry before vacuuming - the substance will help to increase the suction action and the hairs will be better absorbed by the vacuum cleaner nozzle.
After vacuuming the hairs and dust, you can use a rubber broom with bristles to sweep away unnecessary hair if necessary.
The beds or sofas can be cleaned with baking soda powder to remove accumulated dirt and hair.
Mix the baking soda with cold water in a large bowl and dip a rag in a little water.
It is recommended to thoroughly clean the mattress on all sides.
After 30 minutes pass with a damp cloth soaked in cold water to clean the material.
To complete the operation, it is recommended to use a dry towel that will absorb the remaining water and moisture from the mattress.
