The airport park in the center of Daraa city hosted the social and cultural activity organized by the United Nations Development Program office within the community cohesion project.
The activity included various lyrical performances, an art exhibition of cartoons, in addition to an exhibition of traditional handicrafts, and another for a group of works that harmonize nature and use it in the right way to ensure the preservation of the environment and present beautiful works that anyone can acquire in their home.
In a statement to SANA, the activity official, Abeer Al-Assaad, explained that it was held in the open air and was distinguished by a remarkable presence of the people of the countryside of Daraa, and included various paragraphs that combine the past and the present, both in the heritages designed by women's hands with care and accuracy to reflect the depth of interest in the heritage of Daraa and its protection from extinction, as well as the revival of the lyrical heritage. To preserve through what was presented by a choir melody consisting of young musicians and vocals.
Al-Assaad pointed out that the choir presented a bouquet of original songs scattered in the Hauran area, in addition to a group of old cartoon films that were loved by children and adults, while the activity was accompanied by a live drawing by the young woman, Sebal Jabr, of the most famous cartoon characters in the eighties and nineties.
The activity official indicated that the aim of holding it in the open air, away from the closed halls, is to attract the largest possible number of the public, provide entertainment in a new way, and preserve the heritage, noting that the activity also witnessed the remarkable participation of people with disabilities in the context of allowing all segments of society to participate in all activities. .
The activity witnessed a noticeable public turnout, as a number of attendees confirmed that this type of activity contributes to preserving the heritage of the governorate and introduces new generations to its status and importance and consolidates it more in their minds.
