The Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet of the Canadian luxury chain reopened this summer and was built on one of the most interesting points in the city - the first modern prison in Istanbul built somewhere in 1918.
The hotel is surrounded by views of the Hagia Sophia Mosque, the Blue Mosque and the Sea of Marmara and offers an interesting location to get to know The heritage of Istanbul, as it lies in the heart of the old city.
The interior of the hotel was redesigned by the design studio Goddard Littlefair.
"Our designers explored Istanbul's ancient style, patterns and details, and distilled these influences through a contemporary filter, to create harmonious designs for the building and the environment," says Martin Goddard.
