After 23 years, the Isen children's home bids farewell to its director, Isolde Mittermaier.

Educator Heidi Schönauer is also leaving.

Isen

– A summer festival was celebrated again in the Isen children's home.

The families of the crèche, kindergarten and after-school care children accepted the invitation in large numbers.

The children ran into the decorated garden to the song "On Days Like These".

This was not chosen by chance, as the parents' council reports: On this day, in addition to four team members who are retiring, going back to university or going to the other end of Germany, Isolde Mittermaier's farewell after 23 years of managing the children's home was also due.

A throne was prepared as a place of honor from which she could follow the program.

The smallest of the three crèche groups started with a movement song and waved at her happily.

The kindergarten children, supported by the after-school care children, followed with the song “I give you a rainbow”.

Here a rainbow, a huge cloud, colorful stones and soap bubbles were given away.

The pre-school children had rehearsed a self-written song with their teachers: "I saw a woman who now wanted to retire".

A colorful suitcase was filled stanza by stanza with valuable and useful things for the pension.

In addition to these songs and dances, creative gifts were also presented.

A true work of art came from the after-school care group: all the children had drawn or written a personal greeting on a postcard – hanging from colorful balloons, these were handed over to Mittermaier by the parents' council.

Another highlight was the team's self-composed song: the past 23 years in the life of the headmistress were described for the instrumental piece "Stern des Suedes".

Kindergarten teacher Heidi Schönauer was in the house for twelve years.

She was released into retirement with a lovingly made book by “her” daycare children.

As a "finale", around 120 children presented flowers to the two future pensioners and wished them a wonderful time.

After that there was plenty of playing, there were performances from the in-house Punch and Judy theatre, the children could make friendship bracelets or have their face painted.

The parents provided food and drink, and the proceeds benefit the children in the form of a new purchase.

"It was a wonderful party," was the summary at the end.
